Aliran Teknikal Aliran teknikal dikhususkan kepada pelajar cemerlang dalam akademik pada peringkat Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR). Objektif aliran teknikal adalah untuk membantu melahirkan tenaga profesional dalam bidang kejuruteraan dan bukan kejuruteraan (pertanian, perdagangan dan ekonomi rumah tangga).

Bahagian Pendidikan Teknik dan Vokasional
Aliran Vokasional Aliran vokasional memberikan peluang kepada pelajar yang pencapaian baik dan sederhana dalam akademik dan berminat kepada pembelajaran bercorak pekerjaan (vocational). Komponen pembelajaran adalah seimbang teori dan amali. Objektif aliran ini ialah membantu melahirkan pekerja separa profesional seperti juruteknik/ pembantu teknik.
Bahagian Pendidikan Teknik dan Vokasional
Aliran Kemahiran Manakala aliran kemahiran dikhususkan kepada pelajar pencapaian PMR yang rendah tetapi berminat kepada pembelajaran amali (hands-on). Objektif aliran ini apabila tamat kursus akan menjadi tenaga mahir di industri atau bekerja sendiri. Kandungan kursus aliran kemahiran ditetapkan oleh Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran, Kementerian Sumber Manusia. Mereka yang berjaya mengikuti kursus ini akan dianugerah dengan Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM).   Bahagian Pendidkan Teknik dan Vokasional

Kursus ini menyediakan latihan bidang kemahiran yang merangkumi kemahiran pengetahuan di peringkat operasi /pengeluaran.  Berdasarkan kepada takrif pekerjaan (Occupational  Definition) kemahiran ini dinamakan “Job Analysis” dalam bentuk carta profil iaitu Duti (duty) dan Tugasan (Task).  Murid akan dinilai berasaskan ketrampilan untuk memastikan tahap kebolehan melakukan Duti dan Tugasan melalui standard yang ditentukan. Murid yang telah mencapai standard kemahiran dalam tahap ini akan diberi Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia Tahap 1 dan seterusnya.

Antara duti dan tugasan yang terkandung dalam profil kursus ini adalah merangkumi konsep asas mesin, penggunaan dan penyelenggaraan peralatan tangan dan kuasa, kerja-kerja melarik, mengisar, mencanai, membentuk serta memeriksa dan menilai hasil kerja menggunakan pelbagai peralatan.

 

Objektif :

Sukatan Pelajaran

DUTY 1 : SAFETY

1.01 Demonstrate Safety Practices

Demonstrate safety practices by selecting and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) so that appropriate PPE is always worn at worksite and during working in compliance with Workshop Safety Rules and Regulation

 

1.02 Apply First Aid Treatment For Minor Injuries

 

Apply first aid treatment for minor injuries by cleaning and dressing the wound/cut so that the injuries is treated according standard procedure.

 

 

1.03 Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Meet Safety Regulation & Standard

Ensure personal protective equipment  (PPE) meet Safety Regulation & Standard by checking visually so that equipment physical condition is determined and any defective equipment is reported to immediate officer

1.04 Create Safety Awareness At Worksite

Create safety awareness at worksite by carrying out safety audit so that safety at work site is recognized and always maintained to minimize industrial accident

1.05 Extinguish Fire Break Out At Worksite

 

Extinguish fire break out at worksite using various type of fire extinguishers so that the fire extinguishing is carried out according to procedure and the fire breakout is under control

 

1.06 Ensure Safety Feature Of Machine & Equipment Comply With Standard Regulation

 

Ensure safety feature of machine & equipment comply with standard regulation by carrying out safety auditing so that the machine & equipment safety function is always maintained in good condition

1.07 Ensure Workshop Floor, Gangway And Emergency Exit Are Hazard Free

 

Ensure workshop floors, gangway and emergency exit are hazard free by checking work site and removing unwanted materials from those site so that the workshop floor, gangway and emergency exit is always maintained accessible during emergency

 

 

 

 

 

 

DUTY 2 : FIRST AIDS

2.01 Ensure Proper Tools Is Always Used

Ensure proper tool is always  used by identifying and selecting required tools so that the tools selected are appropriate to its jobs and functions

2.02 Carry Out Material Handling Practice (Body Motion)

Carry out material handling practice (body motion) manually by checking working space, lifting and transferring object such as chuck, rotary table etc. using correct body motion and position so that possible physical body injury is avoided when the object is safety lifted and transferred.

 

2.03 Ensure Machine Set Up Is Conducive For Operator To Operate

 

Ensure proper tools is always used by identifying and selecting required tools so that the tools selected are appropriate to its jobs and functions.

 

 

DUTY 3 : UNDERSTAND WORKSHOP DRAWING & BLUE PRINT

3.01 Interpret Drawing Against Standard (Symbols, Limits, Fit & Tolerance Etc)

Interpret drawing so that actual shape and dimension of the part/components in the drawing and its assembly can be visualized and the geometrical tolerances & allowances is obtained.

3.02 Draw Part/ Object By Freehand Sketching

Draw parts/objects by free hand sketching using sketching tools so that the shape, profile and size of the actual part/ component is transferred on paper.

3.03 Draw Basic Orthographic, Isometric & Pictorial Drawing

Draw basic orthographic, isometric and pictorial view using drawing instrument and equipment so that the part/component is drawn and transferred on drawing paper according to a specified drawing standard

3.04 Interpret Blueprint (Part Drawing)

 

Interpret blue print (part drawing) so that actual shape and dimension of the part in the drawing can be visualized and the geometrical tolerances & allowances is obtained.

 

 

DUTY 4 : PERFORM BENCHWORK

4.01 Check Linear And Angular Measurement On Work Piece

Check linear and angular measurement on work piece using various type of measuring instrument against given drawing so that the actual dimension of the work piece is obtained and recorded.

4.02 Carry Out Knocking & Hammering On Work Piece (Riveting, Assembling Etc)

Carry out knocking and hammering on work piece (riveting, assembling etc) using various type of tools so that the work piece is driven progressively to the required specification without damaging the work piece and the tools.

4.03 Grinding Cutting Tools (Drill Bit, Punch, Chisel Etc)

Grind cutting tools (drill bit, punch, chisel etc) using portable, bench and pedestal grinders so that the edges of cutting tools are restored to its original shape or given specification.

4.04 Cut Metal Work Piece (Filing)

Cut metal work piece (filing) using various types and grades of files so that the thickness of the work piece is reduced to the required dimension accuracy within the tolerance of  ±  1.0 mm

 

4.05 Cut Metal Work Piece (Chiseling)

 

Cut metal work piece (chiseling) using various types of chisels so that the thickness of the work piece is reduced to the required dimension accuracy within the tolerance of  ±  1.0 mm

 

4.06 Cut Metal Work Piece (Sawing) 

 

Cut metal work piece (sawing) using hacksaw and power saw that the thickness of the work piece is reduced to the reduced to the required dimension accuracy within the tolerance of  ±  1.0 mm

 

4.07 Cut Metal Work Piece (Chain Drilling)

 

Cut metal work piece (chain drilling) using bench drill so that the size, number and position of the holes drilled meets the specified requirement

 

4.08 Carry Out Tool Cutting On External & Internal Thread (Tap & Die)

 

Carry out tool cutting on external & internal thread (tap & dies) using drill, reamer, tap and dies so that the work piece is threaded according to the size and position as per specification.

 

4.09 Carry Out Hand Reaming

 

Carry out hand reaming using hand reamer/adjustable hand reamer so that the a hole is formed to the dimensional accuracy and position as per specification within the range of ± 0.04 mm

 

DUTY 5 : MATERIALS

 

5.01 Identify Type Of Metal (Spark Test & Color Code)

 

Identified type of metal (spark test & color code) by conducting simple workshop tests, interpreting color code and material specification so that the type of material determined against its specification

 

5.02 Determine Lubricant For Metal Cutting

 

Determined lubricant for metal cutting by identifying type of material and cutting process so that the lubricant selected is suitable for the material and cutting process
